i’m not sure the word “incentives” represents what you are trying to learn from this question.
an “incentive” is a reason or motivator to do something, there is a distinction from an “influence.”
perhaps you DID want to know the incentives. the incentives behind writing music are - having fun, playing shows, meeting friends, traveling to lots of cool places, having a creative outlet.
as for influences, these are less identifiable. experiences in general, both musical and otherwise, serve as influences in the writing of music and lyrics.
